Christmas 2008

So what started out as a horrible holiday season, turned into a very crazy, fun, laughing day with lots of spontaneous ideas. Sitting a home talking on the phone, get a call from Darwin to meet up for coffee. Meet on the skytrain, and call Gerard and Janelle who were going to go for a walk. We all meet up, hit starbucks and venture over to Queen Elizabeth Park for walk in the snow. Walk in the snow, to hanging with snowmen, walking across water, to snowball fight. Then on the way home talking about going hot tubing, and how much fun and good food we had at Wah Wings we had last week. We then decided we are going to Wah Wings for supper. After that come home and relax, talked to every one at home then hit the sack. So for a holiday that started off bad, my flight canceled and losing my cell phone it turned out to be one of the funnest days. I quote Janelle

"All you need is a couple of friends, some camera & snow and you got Christmas!"

Even the dumbest things make me smile..

This would be a conversation I had on Sunday night after coffee:


Greg: "I'll give you my number"

Amanda: "Why would I want your number Murray I already have it."

Greg: "Actually its only 4 numbers"

Amanda:"What? That doesn't make sense"

Greg: "13.45" (as he shows me his bill for coffee)

Amanda: (laughing) "your a loser go pay your bill"


After being called a Judge by Greg and Susie, this is how the night ends.. with many hugs as we leave the restaurant.. so yes even the dumbest of dumb conversations can make me laugh and smile.

It opened my eyes to see that those in my past helped me to get to the place I'm in today,with my friends. It's not who has the boyfriend, who's getting married and the competiton that came with it. It those that I spend my time with, whether single or in a relationship that we all can enjoy each other in our little quarks. Spend time doing things that seem crazy or werid but love it cause its what we do. How much of a family we are, all of us together.

So Thank-you to those from my past, you made me realize how lucky I am with the friends I have today that sometimes, some of us don't fit in with the crowd, but somewhere at sometime we find those that we fit in with.

Fun filled week.. Carving pumkins to having supper with the gang.. to Fright night where lots of screaming took place!!

It's been awhile.. soo much going on.. Months of July-Aug Family Vacation wishes coming true.. swimming with Dolphins.. Laughter.. Convention.. Enjoying the wonderful sunshine.. September- Back to the grind new bosses, new changes School back in session. and Sun still shinning!! October- Girls nights out.. Hanging out with friends, Thanksgiving, Leaves turning colour and sun still Shinning!! Today the first day of November.. Recovering from last nights fun.. leaves turning colour, time change and RAIN!!! But all in all busy few months.. Now only 2 months till the end of the year!!

Catch-up!

Sorry its been so long!! its been busy!! So thought I would play catch-up again before I head to the island this weekend and then off to Florida for a week after that!! I had Michelle and Sarah come stay with me about a month ago!! Nice to have roomies for a few nights!! We did the Capalino Bridge and went to the Imax at Canada Place and had a lunch in the backyard on the Sunday before I dropped them off at her uncles!! Then Canada Day spent the day at Cultus Lake with Ayla and few others Watersliding and having a BBQ after!! So enjoy.. I'll try and post Victoria Volleyball tournment before I go on Holidays!!
